At Pebble Stacker, we believe in slow travel — in making space for quiet joy, spontaneous discoveries, and the kind of moments that linger longer than any itinerary.
South Australia offers a beautiful setting for that kind of travel. With its mix of gentle vineyards, peaceful coastlines, and warm country hospitality, it's an ideal backdrop for families wanting to escape the noise and reconnect.
Here are three glamping destinations we fell in love with — and the little comforts that made us feel at home, wherever we rolled out our mat.
1. Bukirk Glamping – Clare Valley
Tucked into the rolling wine region of Clare Valley, Bukirk offers open skies and fresh morning air. The bell tents are spacious and thoughtfully styled, with enough room for little ones to nap or play inside comfortably.

Outside, there’s a chicken coop, a fire pit, and plenty of room to simply roam. We made tea in the morning while the sun rose over the hills, and our daughter quietly collected feathers and rocks nearby.
This spot reminded us that luxury can be simple: clean air, warm light, and soft ground.
2. Discovery Parks – Barossa Valley
If you’re new to glamping or travelling with active toddlers, this one’s a gentle start.
Fully equipped safari tents with bedding and air-con meet waterparks and bike rentals — a lovely balance between convenience and outdoor time.

We appreciated how the space made room for little wild energy while still offering cozy wind-down moments in the evening. It was easy, and sometimes that’s exactly what families need.
3. Naiko Retreat – Fleurieu Peninsula
For older kids and slower days, Naiko Retreat is a special kind of quiet. Perched on a cliffside with sweeping ocean views, it invites long walks, early nights, and real stillness.

There’s no tech, no noise — just the sound of waves and a house full of light. We brought books, puzzles, and our sleeping bags… and we barely left the deck.
This stay reminded us how grounding nature can be, especially when shared with our children.
🧺 Our Glamping Staples
We packed lightly — but every piece had a purpose.
-
Serene Dream Nap Mat
Soft and rollable, it was our daughter’s go-to space for reading, resting, and mid-afternoon dreams — wherever we were. -
3-in-1 Cotton Sleeping Bag
We used it in so many ways: as a cozy blanket on cool nights, a playmat under shady trees, and even as a wrap during story time on the deck. -
Linen Weekender Bag
Spacious, strong, and timeless. It held everything from snacks to sketchbooks to seashells. It’s not just a bag — it felt like part of the rhythm of the trip.
Travel with kids doesn't need to be full of plans. Sometimes, all it takes is open sky, a soft place to land, and a few beautiful pieces that make rest feel special.
Here’s to glamping that feels like home, and places that let you breathe a little deeper.
